Join us for a webinar designed to support parents and caregivers with the challenges of raising Muslim children in a digital world.

This webinar will equip parents and caregivers with practical tools to navigate the challenges of raising children in a digital world. While technology offers connection and learning opportunities, it also exposes children to online risks such as cyberbullying, grooming, exploitation, and harmful content.
The event will highlight strategies to build trust between parents and children, set healthy boundaries around technology use, and foster open communication so kids feel safe sharing concerns. By blending mental health expertise, law enforcement insight, and educator perspectives, the session will empower families to protect children without disconnecting from them.

While Sakeenah functions at a national level, our head office and The People’s Market operate out of land that is part of the Treaty and Traditional Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, The Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Huron-Wendat and Wyandot Nations.
Sakeenah believes that while a land acknowledgement is the first step, we also understand that land acknowledgements alone are not sufficient to redress the harm caused by centuries of land theft, forced displacement and ongoing acts of settler colonialism. We recognize that this work is ongoing and complex, and we are dedicated to doing our part to create a better future for all.
