Event Information
Holding Grief with Grace is a gentle, faith-centered gathering for Muslim women seeking a compassionate space to acknowledge and carry their grief. Whether your loss is recent or years old, this gathering invites you to come as you are, holding whatever emotions, memories, and experiences you bring with you.
Together, we will reflect on grief through the Islamic values of sabr (patience) and rahmah (mercy), recognizing that sorrow is not a sign of weakness or a lack of faith, but a deeply human experience. Through guided reflection, spiritual grounding, and shared presence, participants will have the opportunity to sit with their grief in a supportive and understanding environment.
Rather than focusing on "moving on" or finding closure, this gathering creates room to honour loss as an enduring part of our lives. It is an invitation to meet ourselves with gentleness, to find comfort in community, and to hold our grief with dignity, compassion, and grace.
You are welcome exactly as you are.
