Discover how to approach Ramadan with balance, emotional well-being, and sustainable worship. This workshop, led by Shamyle Khan, Mental Health Program Manager at Sakeenah Canada, offers practical guidance on stress management, self-compassion, and maintaining mental health during the month of fasting, all within an Islamic framework.

Workshop Overview

This session is designed to support community members as they prepare for Ramadan with both spiritual and emotional readiness. Participants will learn practical tools to:

  • Manage stress and overwhelm before and during Ramadan
  • Set realistic expectations for worship and daily routines
  • Practice self-compassion while navigating fasting and life responsibilities
  • Support mental wellness through faith-centered strategies

The workshop also encourages reflection and community connection, helping participants enter Ramadan feeling grounded, supported, and spiritually renewed.
