Become a Sakeenah Ambassador
As a Sakeenah Canada Home Ambassador, you’ll play a vital role in spreading awareness, organizing impactful events, and connecting with others to support safe housing initiatives for women and children in need.
As a Sakeenah Canada Homes Ambassador, you will serve as a key representative of the organization in their local community. Ambassadors are essential in raising awareness about Sakeenah Canada’s mission, organizing community outreach events, fundraising, and building connections to support the organization’s housing initiatives for women and children in need. This volunteer position is suitable for passionate, community-minded individuals who want to make a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable populations all across Canada.

Key Responsibilities for this role include:
Community Engagement:
Ambassadors will represent Sakeenah Canada at community events, mosques, Islamic centers, and other local forums to raise awareness about the Sakeenah Homes and their services.
Organize and participate in outreach activities to promote the work and mission of Sakeenah Canada within the community.
Event Planning & Support:
Help plan, coordinate, and promote fundraising or awareness events in collaboration with the Sakeenah Canada team (e.g., charity dinners, awareness campaigns, info sessions).
Assist in setting up and managing booths or information tables at community events.
Networking & Partnerships:
Build relationships with local organizations, businesses, and individuals who can support Sakeenah Canada’s housing initiatives through donations, sponsorships, or partnerships.
Engage with potential volunteers and donors in the community, encouraging them to support Sakeenah Canada’s mission.
Social Media & Advocacy:
Promote Sakeenah Canada Houses through social media platforms by sharing updates, event information, and success stories.
Act as a local advocate, sharing the impact of the organization’s work and encouraging others to get involved.
Fundraising Support:
Participate in local fundraising efforts by assisting with donation drives, crowdfunding campaigns, and other initiatives to support Sakeenah Canada Houses.
Volunteer Recruitment:
Identify potential volunteers within the community and encourage them to contribute to Sakeenah Canada’s mission.

Passionate about Sakeenah Canada’s mission and values.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in community engagement, fundraising, or event planning is an asset but not required.
Active presence on social media is a plus.
Reliable and dedicated, with the ability to commit 5-10 hours per month to the role.
