What We Do

  • Our homes are safe spaces across the country for women and children, where they are provided refuge, nutritious meals and essential items. Residents in our homes receive holistic support to help them recover and develop strength, while learning skills that move them towards independence and success. We operate 8 homes across Canada, with plan to open 1 more later this year.

  • The People’s Market is a program that provides a grocery store experience to those in need and allows them to get the food and essentials that their family needs, with dignity. Along with our food delivery service for those who cannot be physically mobile, our food program closes the gap for clients to get the nutrition they need for themselves and their families.

  • Our 24/7 Emergency Support Hotline is the first of its kind nationwide. The program provides after-hours support for women and children fleeing domestic violence, offering immediate assistance with safe transportation, temporary accommodation, and emergency assessments. We're committed to creating a safe space for those in need, any time they need it.

  • Our Remote Services allow us to serve families directly in their own homes. Remote casework is necessary for clients who are not residing in a shelter but still need assistance from caseworkers for referrals, securing housing, receiving mental health therapy, and other essential services.

  • All of our clients and residents are assessed by our mental health professionals, to provide them with a diverse range of therapy programs tailored to their specific needs. Our Mental Health programs are available both in-person and remotely, guaranteeing that clients receive appropriate support for any underlying issues they may be facing.

  • Our Foster Care Program will help connect Muslim children in foster care to Muslim families. Our goal is to provide culturally and religiously sensitive care in a safe and loving home environment to children who are currently in the foster care system.

100% Zakat Policy

100% of your Zakat goes to women, children, and families in our own communities. We believe that every penny of Zakat received should go to Zakat-eligible recipients.

Our Locations

We operate 9 homes across Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland & Labrador.
